Reviews of the IF COMP 2005 Games

     Above, the games are listed twice. First, they are shown in the order I played. Next, they are in order by total score. When sorting games with the same total score, the base score (without a skew) is used to put them in order. If the base is also the same, then I have simply picked the one that was more fun or more appealing to me.

     These reviews comprise my take on the competition. Even though I write this a few days prior to the announcement of the official results, I suspect that some of the games I found most enjoyable may rank lower in the final tally.

     I refined my scoring criteria this year. The result is a set of scores that averages lower than last year, where twenty-four of the thirty-five other games were given an 8.0 or higher (this year, only eleven). I don't think the games were weaker or less enjoyable this year, so keep that in mind when comparing these to my prior rankings. My average score this year is just under 6.5.
